Horse Training
We specialize in working with weanlings and yearlings, breaking and training young horses (and older horses who have never been worked with) and reschooling horses, especially those coming off the race track. If you want to have your horse evaluated as a training prospect, contact Jennifer Pardue at (865) 755-2369. Our prices will vary with the type of work you would like your horse to do and their level of experience.
Here are a few of our current training projects:
This is Haley - she is one of our top students. Last year at this time, Haley could barely ride. Now she is riding and preparing to show "Flight Risk", one of our top show horses. In Spring 2009, Haley and Flight Risk will begin showing at dressage, combined training, and novice level eventing. Haley we are proud of you!!!
Below is Nasse's Ballernina, an American Warmblood. We traded for Nasse and her "birth mother" did a great job of working with her when she was a baby. She is a very friendly and well-mannered horse. Nasse will be 4 this Spring, and we are in the process of beginning her work under saddle. She is 16h and growing. She will be a power house in the show ring. She is wearing a weighted surcingle and carrying 100 lbs in weight during this lunging session. We use weighted surcingles with all of our young horses and gradually build the horse's strength and ability to carry a "shifting" weight load. By training our horses this way, breaking them to saddle is much easier because their back is ready to carry weight and they are well on their way to relaxing and basic balance skills.
Below is Legal Pain, a 4 y/o TB gelding (he was a stallion up through October 2008) and we have a filly by him. He is 18h and growing. In 2009, Legal Pain will begin serious work under saddle for dressage and combined training. We hope to send him East to Tamarak Hill or a similar farm for finishing. This horse has a tremendous heart and will make a name for himself in the show ring. This horse is for sale to serious buyers only.

Below is a picture of "Fly Legal", a 2008 filly by Legal Pain out of Sky Maiden (AP Indy). Fly Legal aka Fly Girl is going to big like her daddy and fast like her mom. Fly Legal is for sale to serious buyers only.
